On the 7th day in Israel, we are hiking to see a waterfall that day, the proposal ring came with a strap “design” so that it won’t come loose (only bus 50 can understand)
The Journey of Stan’s Proposal :
01 • We booked a pilgrimage tour to Israel, I knew it will be the place to propose to Vero. The land of Hope and Grace! | 02 • Choosing the “carrots” (carat) was a long yet joyful experience and I’m all ready for Israel! | 03 • With my family’s blessing, I flew to Jakarta, spent a lovely Valentine’s Day with Vero and her family. I secretly asked her parents for approval to let me have her hand. |
04 • With everything in check, the “conspiracy” with the tour leaders (thank you Deacon Edwin & Deaconess Jennifer) begins. I gotta smuggle the ring without Vero finding out! | 05 • (03 Mar 18) Last shot before we left for Israel. I told Vero that this was gonna be a “life-changing trip”. | 06 • (04 Mar 18) We started our tour with Bus 50, we were totally blown away with Israel and of course… the mission. |
07 • (05 Mar 18) I carried the bag with me wherever I went. And I made sure, Vero did not get to touch it! | 08 • (06 Mar 18) The ring travelled with me to the Southern Steps, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Pool of Bethesda, Garden Tomb, Temple Mount… | 09 • (07 Mar 18) The journey continued with more and more of our Bus 50 friends growing in excitement about the mission. I felt so blessed. |
10 • (08 Mar 18) Vero surely was amazed that I carried a big bag into the Hezekiah’s Tunnel when the water reached almost at mid-thigh level. | 11 • (09 Mar 18) The eve of Proposal. An eventful day in witnessing miracles and the ancient places our Lord Jesus once walked on earth. We ended the evening with praise and worship. | 12 • (10 Mar 18) D-Day – 7th day of our Israel trip, we were led to the Garden of En-Gedi. With the help of Bus 50, Deaconess Jennifer and Deacon Edwin, it was mission completed! |
The proposal was absolutely unforgettable.
